San Francisco, California -- Thanks to a new program called My Pro Day, players of all ages can enjoy a real life major league baseball experience.
My Pro Day is the first to bring the excitement and benefits of a big-league tryout camp to players of all ability levels, ages 6 to 18. Young players will have a pro baseball fantasy day experience, and parents will learn how their players measure up against others across the country and across the world.
Players at the San Francisco My Pro Day event will follow in the footsteps of current stars such as Albert Pujols and Derek Jeter and all-time greats like Mickey Mantle and Tony Gwynn, most of whom got noticed at similar events.
Whether you are a travel team star or just a kid who loves baseball, your Pro Day experience will be both fun and eye-opening.
A trained staff of My Pro Day coaches will divide participants into age groups and put each player through the same tests used at big league tryouts and Division I showcases. We’ll test your arm strength, defensive skills, hitting ability, running speed, quickness, agility, athleticism, and more. As you move through the test stations, you’ll also get tips on how to improve in each area of the game. But it’s not just a day at fantasy camp, and it’s so much more than a skills challenge. Here’s what comes next …
Your personalized My Pro Day scorecard will show your scores, ratings, and suggestions for improvement. Even more valuable, your results will be entered into an international database and reveal how you measure up against players your age locally, statewide and nationally. You may be one of the best players on your team or in your league, but how do you stack up against players from around the country and in Latin America? Here’s your chance to find out.
The My Pro Day database will identify players by a unique ID number, so only those with whom you share your number will be able to access your scores and rankings.
While the players are having a great time, the My Pro Day experience will serve as a fantastic teaching tool for parents and coaches. Not only will the scorecard identify areas of needed improvement for those who want to play at the next level, the national and international comparisons will serve as a great motivator for a top player.
As part of My Pro Day’s initial launch, U.S. Baseball Academy veterans and their friends are being offered a special price of just $49 (half off the national rate). Register today and pay through U.S. Baseball Academy. Visit www.MyProDay.com.
Space in San Francisco is limited to the first 100 players.
